I hope this gallery captures how happy and proud I am of our learners. These classes were recognized for pushing themselves to learn Spanish and speak as much Spanish as they can. They have also been hard workers and completed most assignments demonstrating they are wonderful IB learners that embrace global mindedness.
This week I held the Spanish fiesta for Kinder, First, Second, and Third-grade classes. They got to take fun pictures, eat chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole while watching my favorite cartoon, The Book of Life. They were all risk takers and tried the foods they were not familiar with and watched a movie that has a lot of Spanish/Mexican culture embedded in it.
Needless to say, we had a lot of fun during regular class as well. Kinder and first grade are learning about the seasons. The finished product is coming soon. Second and Third grade are learning about school and prepositions. Fourth and Fifth grade are reviewing la casa, los colores, los numeros, etc. while finishing their big “La casa” projects. There is a lot to show off, so check in often! ¡Nos vemos!
