¡Feliz navidad, feliz navidad, feliz navidad próspero año y felicidad!
I can not believe it is that time of the year again! It went by so quick! We have been up to a lot in Spanish class. Here is a brief summary of activities:
K-1: Learners have been reviewing body parts by singing and labeling different characters. We began by putting a Sr. Cabeza de Papa (Mr. Potato Head) together. Then we sang two different songs:
For Christmas, we all listened to The Legend of The Poinsettia by Tommie De Paola. Kinder learners are creating a Paper Poinsettia that will double up as a Navidad Word Bank. First-grade learners have been making Pastores and Pastorcitas. These will also double up as Navidad Word Wall.
2nd grade: Second grade has been learning about clothes. They listened to this funny song which is a great way to practice clothes vocabulary words. They will later label and write about clothes their Duende (Elf) is wearing.
3rd Grade: They also listened to the Legend of the Poinsettia but they are creating their version of stained glass. More picture to come soon.
4th and 5th grade are making Tarjetas de Navidad: Christmas Cards for a school in Dallas. Learners will design Christmas cards to be delivered to a Dual Language School in Dallas. I will be posting pictures as soon as they are ready.
I hope you get a chance to see these videos and always keep checking up for more!
